Role Overview
As a Software Engineer I at Tower Research Capital in Gurgaon, you will contribute to the development and testing of world-class electronic trading infrastructure. You will work closely with global teams across the US, Europe, and Asia to ensure robust software releases and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software developers, QA teams, support staff, and stakeholders worldwide.
- Design and execute test artifacts based on project requirements.
- Perform end-to-end testing, defect tracking, and reporting prior to software releases.
- Sign off on releases after successful test plan execution.
- Update and create specification documents.
- Conduct certifications and conformance testing with brokers and exchanges.
- Maintain and improve test environments; implement automation using Python-based BDD frameworks.
- Ensure effective communication across global teams during release cycles.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with Linux systems and network/environment management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- C++ programming experience.
- Knowledge of SQL/Mongo and version control systems like Git.
- Experience with BDD/TDD methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools.
- Exposure to the financial services industry.
