Role Summary

This role focuses on analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for Zebra products and systems. The position also supports software and hardware integration to ensure strong performance and consistent functionality.

The engineer participates in validation, testing, and documentation of software structures and user materials. Work is reviewed to ensure accuracy and alignment with established engineering processes and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with team members to define requirements for smaller or less complex design projects.
• Execute software engineering project phases including coding, debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Analyze business processes and system behavior, then share findings with relevant stakeholders.
• Interpret results from system analysis and recommend improvements to software or system design.
• Support development and testing of software solutions across various products, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
• Create and maintain project documentation including code references, design specifications, and testing outcomes.
• Keep current with emerging technologies and software development methodologies and apply them when appropriate.
• Review updates or enhancements to existing designs and testing procedures.
• Apply sound judgment to select suitable techniques and methods for solving engineering problems.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. An advanced degree in a relevant field is also acceptable.
• 0+ years of experience in software development or a similar area.
• Equivalent practical experience may be considered in place of a formal degree.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving abilities.
• Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, algorithms, and software development frameworks.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle models such as Agile or Scrum.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
