The Role
AMD is seeking an energetic and motivated software engineer to join its growing team. In this position, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, industry-leading technologies and support new product introductions through effective software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective software solutions for advanced technology and new product introduction projects.
- Validate newly developed software features before releasing them to customers.
- Build end-to-end systems to publish and monitor AGS software quality and performance metrics.
- Work with technologies related to GPGPU programming and ROCm, along with AI frameworks such as PyTorch, vLLM, SGLang, and JAX.
- Contribute as part of a collaborative feature team focused on product development and innovation.
- Partner closely with multiple engineering groups to deliver planning solutions and supporting technologies.
- Assist in designing and implementing scalable and durable system architectures.
- Collaborate with development teams and project managers to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Apply knowledge of the software development life cycle and automation practices.
- Work with tools and technologies including Python, C/C++, Unix shell scripting, Grafana, MySQL, GitHub Actions, Jenkins CI/CD, HTML, JavaScript, and Docker containers.
Preferred Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and Linux shell scripting.
- Good understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Solid knowledge of software engineering fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and multithreaded programming.
- Experience working with Linux environments and modern development tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
