Role Overview
As a Software Developer at IBM India Systems Development Lab (ISDL), you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of IBM Systems products. This includes working on core technologies such as Operating Systems, Firmware, Systems Software, Storage Software, and Cloud Software.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development, product management teams, and end users across geographies.
- Analyze product requirements, design solutions, implement code, and perform testing throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in validation and support activities for IBM Systems products.
- Work within a culture-driven, technically accomplished team to deliver an exceptional user experience.
- Contribute to a growing organization with opportunities for career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6-12 months of development experience.
- Proficiency in Core Java, Java J2EE, microservices architecture, and Python.
- Experience with SaaS applications, CI/CD pipelines, and development processes.
- Knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, SQL, NoSQL, or Vector Databases.
- Experience in writing and executing Unit Tests and REST API automation.
- Familiarity with version control tools like GitHub and build tools like Maven/Gradle.
- Strong adaptability and continuous learning mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Linux environments.
- Background in product development companies.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, Jenkins, Tekton.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and IBM Cloud.
- Familiarity with messaging brokers like Kafka.
- Front-end development skills in JavaScript, ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Understanding of network fundamentals and security principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
