Overview
Job Description
This role is responsible for driving day to day system and service engineering and operations. It is an operational role within Fibre/Mobile services to plan, design, and as-built fibre assets in GIS tools, with appropriate guidance and advice to ensure quality outcomes.
Minimum Qualification & Experience
Technical/Engineering degree with 0-2 years of experience. B.Eng. or B.Tech. in Electronics, Computer Science, or Telecommunications related disciplines.
Other Knowledge/Skills
- Experience in Fibre/Mobile Network planning and design
- Expertise in various telecommunication/wireless technologies
- Good knowledge of various products offered by service providers
- Good knowledge of various MS Office applications
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of telecom network architecture and its components, detailed knowledge of optical fibre/mobile network and GIS tools such as AutoCAD, Smallworld, ArcGIS, PEGA/SAP, etc. Detailed knowledge of fibre/mobile network planning, designing, and as-builts, quantity surveying, and supplier management. PMO skills are an added advantage.
- Good communication skills for conversations with on-shore/off-shore stakeholders at different levels.
- Knowledge of radio base stations and their components. Coordinate with field engineers to ensure actions are aligned with 100% SLA and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support fibre/mobile planning and design
- Update GIS systems with as-built documents
- Update PEGA/SAP tools with PO and invoice details
- Coordinate with on-shore stakeholders and suppliers to complete assigned works on time
- Maintain SLA and FTR at 100%
- Keep self and customer data secure and error-free
- Be active in customer and internal meetings
