Role Overview
The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate-level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices. The role works closely with the Operations - Transaction Services team to support transaction processing activities.
The main objective is to support the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions while maintaining strong control standards.
Responsibilities
- Process securities transactions, provide analytical support to traders, and assist with reviewing derivative products.
- Identify and resolve settlement issues related to securities and derivatives, and suggest process improvements to leadership.
- Analyze moderately complex reports to meet management requirements and support control activities.
- Monitor operational errors and recommend solutions to reduce risk through a sound understanding of procedural requirements.
- Escalate transaction processing issues to the appropriate teams and collaborate to resolve them.
- Design and review moderately complex reports in line with standards set by direct leadership.
- Support control activities and assist in the launch of new product services.
- Ensure all processes comply with audit standards and internal control policies.
- Assess risks during business decisions, maintaining awareness of the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets through compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Basic understanding of Treasury products, accounting practices, and regulatory policies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects in a high-risk operational environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced setting.
- Working knowledge of macros.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
