Job Overview
IDFC FIRST Bank is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join its Information Technology team in Chennai. This role focuses on both automation and manual testing across web, mobile, API, and database platforms to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Design: Create detailed test plans and cases for multiple platforms; collaborate with developers to understand requirements.
- Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and Appium; execute and analyze automated test results.
- Manual Testing: Perform functional, regression, and performance testing; document defects and conduct exploratory testing.
- Web, Mobile & API Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing, validate API functionality, and ensure cross-browser/device compatibility.
- Continuous Integration: Build and maintain CI pipelines; integrate automated tests into CI workflows for early defect detection.
- Database Testing: Use SQL queries to validate data integrity; address performance issues related to database operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams; participate in agile ceremonies with a focus on quality.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of test cases, results, and issues; update documentation as applications evolve.
Qualifications
B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Tech, BCA, or MCA in a relevant field.
