Intern - Software Engineer
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to product development within one of Salesforce’s Scrum teams. The role involves participating in the engineering lifecycle and helping build tools or features that support enterprise applications used by millions of users. Interns contribute to upcoming releases and gain exposure to large scale cloud systems and services.
You will work on designing, developing, testing, and deploying software components while supporting reliable and high quality product delivery. The role also involves contributing to automated testing and monitoring solutions that help maintain production systems.
Responsibilities
- Work within a dynamic development environment to build high quality software.
- Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy software products.
- Develop solutions that integrate into distributed systems operating at large scale.
- Write optimized and maintainable code for inclusion in future product releases.
- Contribute to automated testing suites and testing infrastructure.
- Assist in building tools and solutions that support and monitor cloud services.
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled in the sophomore year or higher at a college or university, or pursuing graduate studies.
- Working toward a B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or circuit branches, graduating in 2027.
Required Skills
- Academic or internship exposure to software development.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
- Comfort working in a fast paced development environment.
- Ability to communicate technical challenges and proposed solutions clearly.
- Ability to approach ambiguous problems and think abstractly when building solutions.
Desired Skills
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
- Familiarity with web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Exposure to modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Coursework in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Strong computer science fundamentals including object oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
