About the Role

S&P Global EBS is a specialist provider of managed and installed data services, delivering data, technology and service solutions focused on complex and evolving index needs. Its clients include investment banks, asset managers, fund administrators, prime brokers and hedge funds across front, middle and back office functions.

The Impact

The successful candidate will help keep the day-to-day operations of the DeltaOne solutions data offering running smoothly and will work with cross-functional teams to resolve problem areas and remove operational inefficiencies. On the data enhancement side, the candidate will use advanced Excel, VBA and SQL to turn operational requirements into technical solutions and tools. The team operates 24/7, so candidates must be willing to work across all shifts, including US hours.

Responsibilities

• Build a solid understanding of index concepts and their calculations.
• Validate the accuracy of data received from various sources, make sure it is stored in databases and correctly reflected in products through data quality checks and standards.
• Ensure timely, high-quality production of financial information for the relevant products.
• Respond to data queries from internal and external clients and support stakeholders.
• Monitor and research market events to anticipate changes and stay current on markets and business events.
• Work with cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis and identify solutions to problem areas.
• Consolidate information around datasets to establish best practices.
• Run automated and semi-automated checks to ensure high-quality output.
• Keep MOWs documented and maintained.
• Coordinate and delegate work according to team requirements.
• Identify data quality improvement projects and good design practices.
• Use intermediate Excel and SQL skills, including writing basic SQL queries.
• Use data and systems tools effectively.
• Communicate clearly in writing, verbally and in presentations.

Education and Experience

• Post graduates with an MBA specializing in Finance (passing year 2025/2026), or graduates with a BBA/B.Com (passing year 2025/2026).
• Comfortable working rotational shifts, including night shifts, based on business requirements.
• A good understanding of index operations and calculations. Knowledge of index and corporate actions is highly preferred.
• Strong interest in finance and up to date with global financial market news.
• A self-starter who can manage multiple tasks, hardworking and efficient.
• Strong communication skills and professional interaction across business units.
• A team player who works well individually and in a global team environment.
