About the Role
IBM Research - India is inviting applications for its Summer Internship Program in areas such as Computer Science, Mathematical Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Cloud, and Quantum Computing. The program is designed for bright students from leading technical universities in India, offering them exposure to cutting-edge technologies and real-world industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on ongoing research projects under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- Apply problem-solving skills to address real-world challenges in AI, cloud, and quantum computing domains.
- Collaborate with research teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Gain hands-on experience with IBM's advanced tools, platforms, and frameworks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree (in progress) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python and libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Linear Algebra, Probability, and Statistics.
- Experience with tools such as VS Code, Jupyter Notebooks, and Git.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, clustering, and regression.
- Hands-on experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Exposure to Deep Learning, Foundation Models, Large Language Models, and Generative AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Crew.ai).
- Familiarity with unstructured data processing and AI deployment risks.
- Experience with platforms such as Watsonx.ai or similar is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Advanced data manipulation and analysis for large datasets.
