Role Overview

As a Research Engineer at ASAPP, you will advance AI research to develop domain-specific, real-world solutions. Leveraging extensive product data and deployment capabilities, you will address fundamental research questions that shape ASAPP's offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate innovative AI techniques to enhance product capabilities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams during research and implementation phases.
• Build and maintain research datasets, infrastructure, and toolkits.
• Identify and pursue impactful research opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Machine Learning or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven academic or industry research experience.
• Strong curiosity and persistence in solving complex research problems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Peer-reviewed publications in machine learning.
• Strong software engineering background.
• Experience in speech systems research and engineering.
• Expertise in fine-tuning large language models (LLMs).
• Ability to maintain a positive, professional, and productive team atmosphere.
