Role Overview
As a Research Engineer at ASAPP, you will advance AI research to develop domain-specific, real-world solutions. Leveraging extensive product data and deployment capabilities, you will address fundamental research questions that shape ASAPP's offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evaluate innovative AI techniques to enhance product capabilities.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams during research and implementation phases.
- Build and maintain research datasets, infrastructure, and toolkits.
- Identify and pursue impactful research opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Machine Learning or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven academic or industry research experience.
- Strong curiosity and persistence in solving complex research problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a diverse, fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Peer-reviewed publications in machine learning.
- Strong software engineering background.
- Experience in speech systems research and engineering.
- Expertise in fine-tuning large language models (LLMs).
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional, and productive team atmosphere.
