About the Job
Red Hat is looking for Software Engineering interns to join the team in Pune or Bangalore. Interns contribute to real day-to-day engineering work and collaborate closely with senior mentors and global teams.
You will work on projects across Global Engineering while gaining exposure to technologies and learning programs related to Ansible, RHEL, OpenShift, AI, and more. The role also provides hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as Python, GitHub, Java, Agile, and JavaScript.
What You Will Do
- Work with mentors to design, develop, and maintain code using Python, Golang, or related programming languages.
- Add new features, debug issues, and track defects in Red Hat products including RHEL and OpenShift.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Product Management, Designers, Documentation teams, and other departments throughout the product lifecycle.
- Engage with fellow interns and contribute within a collaborative engineering environment.
What You Will Bring
- Currently pursuing the final year of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Basic understanding of software engineering concepts and familiarity with Python, Golang, or similar programming languages.
- Interest in learning new technologies and understanding how systems work internally.
- Ability to work proactively as part of a broader team.
