The Red Hat Critical Accounts Program (CAP) team is recruiting for a 6‑month apprenticeship program for the position of Trainee, Associate Software Maintenance Engineer within the Product Experience Engineering team. In this role, you will help bridge the gap between product development and the quality experienced by customers.
The team focuses on improving platform reliability and product quality rather than building new feature architectures. Work areas include complex domains such as cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, and network migrations. Trainees will use data insights from internal systems like CEE.next and CAP Quality Insights to identify customer pain points and create targeted test cases and code fixes.
This full‑time apprenticeship provides hands‑on exposure to open‑source technologies while working with experienced developers. Participants receive mentorship and practical training with Red Hat technologies such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift Container Platform, and virtualization solutions. Strong performers may be considered for a full‑time role after the program.
