Job Description
The Origination team is responsible for shaping and implementing origination strategy across the groups or countries within its coverage. The work aligns with the bank's strategic objectives and follows internal policies and applicable regulatory frameworks.
The team focuses on presenting ideas and solutions to large clients and supporting complex structured transactions. This includes preparing materials for new or existing clients, helping secure mandates for the bank, and ensuring transactions progress smoothly through execution.
- Develop and present transaction ideas and solutions to clients.
- Prepare materials and presentations for pitching to prospective or existing clients.
- Support the execution of transactions and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams such as structuring to leverage institutional expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Support origination and execution of transactions such as capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructurings as part of the sector or country coverage team.
- Collaborate with senior bankers to analyze and develop transaction ideas for client discussions.
- Conduct detailed analysis of companies, industries, and transactions including financial modeling, valuation, benchmarking, and sector research.
- Participate as a core member of deal teams on mandated transactions.
- Coordinate transactions internally and with external parties such as clients, banks, law firms, and auditors.
- Prepare analytical materials including investment theses, analyst presentations, roadshow presentations, and information memorandums.
- Assist with due diligence activities and help coordinate transaction documentation.
Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Experience or academic exposure to corporate finance, equity research, or corporate valuation is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
