About the Role
Role: Financial Operations & Reporting – Operations Associate
The Enterprise Solutions team at S&P Global delivers solutions that help organizations meet regulatory requirements while reducing operational risk, cost, and complexity. The team also provides a range of services supporting the lending market.
The Financial Operations & Reporting team functions as a centralized unit responsible for managing billing activities for clients, service providers, and business partners. Along with revenue assurance, the team produces various reports such as ad hoc billing reports, financial reporting for P&L, contract reports for customers and products, and handles invoice dispute resolution.
The Impact
The FinOps Associate supports revenue assurance and contributes insights related to revenue and utilization. These insights help leadership teams make informed business decisions. Since billing and financial validation affect both internal and external stakeholders, accurate claim validation and effective dispute resolution are essential to maintain strong business relationships.
What You Will Do
- Develop a clear understanding of the supported business lines and the full contract to service to billing cycle.
- Collaborate with teams including Sales, Sales Operations, Contract Management, Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Application, Operations, Client Services, and SAP reporting.
- Work in a fast paced environment while applying product and process knowledge to make informed decisions.
- Handle multiple responsibilities and meet strict timelines while working independently.
- Perform quality control checks with the team to ensure tasks are properly reviewed and completed.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power Query, or Python is considered an advantage.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
