About the Role

The Service Desk Associate advises and assists users over phone, chat and email with problems related to hardware, software, networks and peripherals, using available technology and internal processes. The role screens, diagnoses, researches and resolves user issues, documents service requests and dispatches orders to support groups. Associates also advise users on IT policies, capabilities and limitations, and respond quickly to keep users operational.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer interactions and record reported issues in the ITSM tool.
• Identify issues, apply fixes and investigate root causes using internal instructions.
• Provide technical guidance by telephone and email to identify, prioritize and resolve problems.
• Screen, refer and diagnose internal inquiries and work requests related to PC maintenance.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments to resolve online system problems accurately and on time.
• Coach less experienced colleagues and serve as an escalation point for them.
