Nike, Inc. is seeking a passionate and driven Software Engineer I to join our dynamic ITC team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. As part of a globally distributed engineering, product, and program team, you will contribute to building scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions that power Nike’s digital transformation and growth strategies.
Who We’re Looking For
We are searching for a motivated Data Engineer with 0-2 years of experience in software development, specifically in data engineering. You should possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in Python or Java, Databricks, Hive, Spark, EMR, and SQL
- Experience in data modelling, ETL development, and data streaming
- Knowledge of data management fundamentals and storage principles
- Familiarity with transferring large files across dispersed networks
- Experience in microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Kafka
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices
- Experience in automated testing frameworks
- Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance data pipelines for Paid Media solutions
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to deliver quality software
- Develop large datasets and complex data pipelines using modern technologies
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure scalable and resilient cloud-native architecture
- Implement unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality
- Optimize performance across the stack for high availability
- Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Contribute to technical documentation and educational content
