About the Role:
The Software Engineer, Launch Program is designed for students transitioning from academia to the corporate world. This program combines professional development, innovation projects, and technical skill-building to prepare you for success at Mastercard.
Launch Program Highlights:
- A four-day orientation introducing Mastercard’s culture, tools, and mission.
- Professional workshops to strengthen technical and business skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality code with a focus on security, design, and maintainability.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Solve real-world challenges for Mastercard’s clients and global payment ecosystem.
Note: Development tools and programming languages may vary based on team placement.
Qualifications:
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s or accelerated Master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Eligible Batches: Students graduating between December 2024 – June 2025
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, or Python.
- Experience with relational databases, NoSQL, or other persistent data stores.
- Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git) and task management tools.
- Ability to write automated tests and debug issues using tools like logs, stack traces, or memory profilers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for software development.
