Role Overview
Mastercard is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer I as part of the Mastercard Setting Program in Pune. The role involves supporting production systems, maintaining reliability of cloud-based services, and assisting with deployment and monitoring activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide production support for Java-based applications running on cloud platforms.
- Monitor application servers and manage vulnerabilities across the environment.
- Handle change management activities and participate in deployments through CI/CD pipelines.
- Use monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace to track system performance and incidents.
- Work with Unix systems and SQL databases to support operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently within production environments.
- Follow ITSM practices for incident, change, and problem management.
Preferred Skills and Exposure
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools such as Chef.
- Exposure to monitoring and observability platforms including Splunk or Dynatrace.
- Strong SQL knowledge with experience working on Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
- Basic familiarity with messaging platforms such as Axon, Broker, or Kafka.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently when required.
