Role Overview

As a Management Trainee in Accounts Payable, you will manage and improve the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will collaborate with associates to identify and implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices, calculate and post business transactions, and verify financial data to maintain accurate accounts payable records.
• Review invoices and requisitions for appropriate payment approval.
• Verify calculations, apply discounts where applicable, and ensure accuracy in totals.
• Check vendor records for previous payments and assign voucher numbers.
• Prepare vouchers with complete invoice details in line with accounting policies.
• Identify and implement improvements in the accounts payable process.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) with relevant accounts payable experience.
• Preferred: Strong interpersonal skills, advanced knowledge of accounting concepts, proficiency in MS Excel and Word, and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or PeopleSoft.
