Job Description
As an Associate 2, you will be a key part of dedicated teams supporting US audit engagement teams. Your responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating understanding and knowledge of industry-specific audit procedures.
- Ensuring high-quality work is delivered within agreed turnaround times.
- Raising issues promptly to GDC Seniors, Managers, and Engagement Teams to protect quality and timelines.
- Providing clarifications, training, and mentoring junior associates on audit and accounting knowledge and client-specific matters.
- Performing upfront reviews of deliverables as advised by the team lead.
- Planning and organizing work to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Interacting with US rotational and engagement team points of contact for clarifications.
- Improving audit work papers based on engagement team feedback.
- Capturing comments during quality reviews and from engagement teams to provide feedback to junior associates.
- Continuously adopting process improvements and enhancing audit efficiency.
- Developing yourself and others by facilitating audit conceptual trainings.
- Participating in firm's strategic initiatives and corporate social responsibility programs.
Key Responsibilities
In addition to the above, you will also:
- Be an integral part of dedicated teams for US audit engagements.
- Ensure work quality and turnaround time are not impacted.
- Work on improvement of audit work papers based on feedback.
- Participate in training and mentoring junior associates.
Mandatory Technical & Functional Skills
- Attention to detail and quality consciousness.
- Quick learner with adaptability to change.
- Willingness to deliver under tight timelines, including working on weekends as needed.
- Open to travel to the US for short- and long-term assignments.
Qualifications
This role is for you if you have:
- Qualified CA/CPA with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting with first division (60%).
- 0-6 months of post-qualification experience along with strong articleship experience from a mid-size or Big 4 firm (for CA).
- Experience with Big 4/leading audit firms or their shared service centers is preferred.
