Role Overview

The Associate 1 Data Engineering Developer is an individual contributor who designs, builds, and optimizes scalable data pipelines, data models, and integration solutions. The role calls for hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), along with the ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and deliver high-quality data.

The Associate 1 role, described as a Data Engineer with Power BI expertise, is mainly responsible for the following:

Data Engineering

• Build, run, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and keep it consistent, accurate, and high quality, using ADLS.
• Support data warehousing work using Azure Synapse Analytics and related Azure services.
• Implement ETL processes so data moves smoothly across systems.
• Contribute to data modeling and schema work that supports analytical use cases.
• Use Databricks notebooks for transformations, table creation, and data quality checks, including Unity Catalog for governance where applicable.
• Debug, optimize, and resolve issues in large-scale data workflows, proposing solutions with minimal guidance.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Keep accurate project status for yourself and the team, and make sure milestones are delivered on time.

Optimize data storage and retrieval to improve system performance and reduce latency. Apply Databricks notebooks to business transformations, and use Unity Catalog to maintain governance and a unified view of data across the organization.
