KPMG Gurgaon Hiring Data Privacy Analyst | Freshers Eligible

KPMG is recruiting an India/UK qualified graduate to join the KGS OGC team. The role supports the UK Data Privacy Office, which sits within the UK Office of the General Counsel of KPMG LLP, with data protection compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

The new recruit will work alongside the onshore team on the following:

• Assisting with Data Subject Access Requests: collating documents, determining the relevance of information with help from the UK Data Privacy Office, and redaction.
• Assisting with Data Privacy Impact Assessments: understanding new processes and applications, and assessing privacy impact.
• Managing the Data Privacy Risk register: reviewing risks monthly, following up with risk owners for updates, and promptly escalating critical risks to the DP manager or the DPO.
• Managing the UK Data Privacy Office mailbox: responding to queries, allocating tasks, and tracking completion.
• Reporting: collating statistics from various systems and stakeholders, creating Management Information (MI) for the Data Protection Officer, and performing trend analysis.
• Assisting the UK Data Privacy Office with other related matters as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or knowledge of data protection laws and GDPR is desirable but not mandatory.
• Analytical abilities and clear written and oral communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint and websites.
• Willingness to learn OGC's practices and processes.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle difficult situations or people.
• Commercial judgement and the ability to balance conflicting demands.
• Initiative, self-confidence and authority.

Interview process: two rounds, first face-to-face or virtual with the KGS team, second virtual with the onshore team.
