Role Summary

We are seeking an Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our newly formed India Tech Hub. You will work closely with our global engineering teams to enhance software quality and reliability through automation, testing frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is both an enablement and execution role, ideal for early-career professionals looking to have a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the quality assurance strategy by promoting test automation and a “shift-left” approach to software quality
• Develop and maintain automated tests, testing tools, and test environments
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Enable engineering teams to test their code thoroughly via tools, training, and support
• Track and improve quality metrics that build stakeholder confidence in software releases
• Participate in code reviews and advocate for best practices in testability and software quality

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in software development, software testing, or SDET roles
• Production-level coding experience is essential
• Fluency in various software testing methodologies: white box, black box, unit, integration, functional, performance
• Strong programming skills in one or more: Java, Python, C#, JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks like:
  • Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, Karate
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices such as:
  • Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps
• Understanding of Agile methodology and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

• Experience with performance testing tools:
  • JMeter, LoadRunner
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration:
  • Docker, Kubernetes
• Exposure to cloud platforms:
  • AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI
• Understanding of microservices and RESTful API testing
• Certifications like ISTQB or experience with compliance standards (e.g., SOC, HITRUST)
