Role Overview

The Software Engineer will work as a Test Automation Engineer supporting quality and validation of web applications and services. The role involves understanding system architecture, developing automated test frameworks, and ensuring stable and reliable software behavior across customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze product requirements, architecture, and customer workflows to design effective automation strategies for web applications and services.
  • Participate early in the software development lifecycle by reviewing requirements and system designs to ensure testability and identify potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright for web UI automation.
  • Automate critical user journeys including smoke tests, regression suites, and high‑risk workflows across UI, backend services, and data layers.
  • Create automated validations for web services and APIs including functional checks, contract validation, negative testing, and error handling.
  • Apply AI‑assisted automation techniques to improve test generation, maintainability, and reliability of automated test suites.
  • Build and manage automation pipelines to run tests on demand or on schedule with reporting through dashboards, logs, and test reports.
  • Monitor automated test runs, investigate failures, and differentiate between product defects and test issues.
  • Measure automation coverage, track quality trends, and highlight release risks using measurable data.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and system engineers to improve testability and promote quality practices across the development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Automation, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Understanding of software quality assurance processes and web UI testing concepts.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as C, C++, Python, Perl, or VBScript.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio, automated testing frameworks, MySQL or Oracle databases, and Linux commands is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within global engineering teams.
