Job Description

The Imaging Tools Group within Intel's Imaging and Camera Technologies organization focuses on building advanced image processing tools for Intel platforms. As a Device Driver Validation Engineer, you will help ensure the reliability and quality of Linux and Chrome device drivers used by Intel's camera IP solutions.

Your work supports the delivery of high quality imaging capabilities across Intel platforms and contributes to the continued advancement of Intel's imaging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the device driver stack and related application features, translating them into structured and comprehensive test procedures.
  • Execute repeatable validation tests on new device driver stacks across multiple operating systems.
  • Log, track, and document issues using reporting systems with clear descriptions that enable developers to reproduce problems.
  • Work closely with development teams to design additional tests and validation methods that improve driver quality.
  • Troubleshoot validation failures and independently investigate problems during the testing process.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma, BSc, BCA, BTech, or MTech in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and running device drivers and associated applications across different operating systems.
  • Ability to develop device driver test cases supporting operating systems such as Linux and Chrome.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages including Python or shell scripting.
  • Understanding of software testing processes and validation practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with a proactive approach to identifying issues.
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional engineering teams.
  • Interest in building reliable, high quality technology solutions.
