Overview
Engineer Design
The IFX Design Engineer works on developing software tools that help automate hardware design workflows. The role involves modelling design challenges in software and building automation solutions that improve engineering productivity. It also includes creating UML-based models for design data and generating code from those models.
Infineon has built a strategy and supporting infrastructure aimed at significantly improving design productivity. The selected candidate will contribute to advancing this methodology across both application and infrastructure layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Create data structures to manage design data, populate them with structured information such as XML or HDL models, and generate code from these models.
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop methods that further automate engineering tasks and enable faster implementation.
- Generalize implementations and organize them using modern software design concepts.
- Define system architecture, coding guidelines, quality assurance strategies, and documentation approaches for these implementations.
