Job Description
Join IBM as a Software Engineer Intern and be part of the team driving innovation in cloud automation. You’ll work on designing, developing, and deploying solutions that enhance cloud infrastructure performance, reliability, and security. In this role, you’ll be involved in a blend of development, operational tasks, and strategic planning within a dynamic and agile team. Collaborate globally and engage in real-world projects that impact the world’s leading industries.
Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle of code changes: development, code reviews, testing, and deployment
- Participate in architectural planning and continuous improvement of cloud services
- Use open-source tools for monitoring, alerting, and debugging production services
- Provide end-user support and collaborate with development teams to enhance CI/CD workflows
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure service uptime
- Stay current with cloud infrastructure technologies like VPC, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Istio, Akamai
Technical Skills Required
Golang, C++, Java, Python, Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Istio, Akamai, Monitoring Tools, CI/CD, Debugging, Code Review, Problem Solving, IBM Cloud (preferred)
Preferred Experience (Bonus)
- Experience with IBM Cloud services
- Understanding of cloud-native application scaling and deployment
