Job Description

Join our enterprise storage support team as a Flash Storage Technical Support Intern. In this role, you will learn how high-performance enterprise storage systems operate in real-world data centers. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will assist in diagnosing technical issues, analyzing system logs, and supporting enterprise clients using IBM FlashSystem and storage virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with troubleshooting: learn how to collect and inspect diagnostic logs to pinpoint root causes for storage system warnings and errors.
  • Collaborate across teams: work closely with senior support engineers, product specialists, and development teams to track issues through to resolution.
  • Understand storage architectures: gain exposure to real-world Storage Area Networks (SAN), RAID configurations, data compression, deduplication, and disaster recovery setups.
  • Support client resolutions: help formulate technical action plans and draft clear, step-by-step guidance for clients.
  • Continuous learning: expand your hands-on knowledge of flash storage hardware, software-defined storage, and hybrid cloud integration.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundational understanding of computer architecture, operating systems (Linux/Windows), or basic networking concepts.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn enterprise storage systems; prior product-specific knowledge is not required. Foundational aptitude and willingness to learn will be supported with mentorship and training.
