This position is designed as a hybrid role with an expectation to work from the HPE office approximately two days per week.

Job Description

Job Family Definition

Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for product enhancements and new solutions. Work may include developing operating systems, compilers, routers, networking tools, utilities, databases, and internet related applications. The role may also assess hardware compatibility and contribute to hardware design considerations.

Management Level Definition

Works on assignments of limited scope using technical concepts and theoretical knowledge gained through education, training, or early professional experience. Functions as part of a team by providing analysis, insights, and recommendations that support team objectives while exercising judgment within defined guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develops and programs enhancements, updates, and modifications for components and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking utilities, databases, and internet related tools.
• Executes established testing plans and protocols for assigned code segments, identifying, logging, and resolving issues.
• Builds an understanding of and collaborates with internal and outsourced development partners on software system design and development.
• Participates in project teams with other software engineers and partners to deliver reliable, cost effective, and high quality solutions for products with low to moderate complexity.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Typically 0 to 2 years of professional experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding or exposure to software system design tools and programming languages.
• Knowledge of software systems operating across multiple platform types.
• Familiarity with testing, coding, and debugging practices.
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and local language.

Additional Skills

Cloud architectures, cross domain knowledge, design thinking, development fundamentals, DevOps practices, distributed computing, microservices concepts, full stack development, security focused design, testing and automation, and user experience awareness.
