Overview
International Tax Analyst
HP's Global Tax organization has an opening within the US Income Tax Compliance and Provision team based in Bangalore. The role supports analysis and reporting related to the company’s tax structure and effective tax rate. The position works closely with teams in the United States and India to deliver compliance, consulting, and tax provision services.
You will collaborate with the global US tax group on projects, risk management, and audit support while balancing business requirements. The role also involves building productive relationships across teams and contributing to initiatives that address complex global tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle multiple aspects of U.S. international tax compliance including earnings and profits calculations, Subpart F computations, foreign tax credit, income sourcing, and allocation and apportionment of expenses.
- Prepare and review international tax forms such as 5471, 8991, 8992, 8993, 1118, and 8858.
- Perform international tax provision analysis on a quarterly and annual basis, including structural and planning transaction assessments, APB 23 analysis, ASC 740 considerations, and E&P and basis studies.
- Support tax planning and research activities including estimated tax forecasts and other complex projects.
- Guide junior or co-sourced team members on priority initiatives related to tax compliance, planning, and accounting.
- Research technical U.S. tax regulations using tools such as Checkpoint or BNA.
- Contribute to ongoing process transformation initiatives within the tax function.
- Respond to notices from tax authorities and interact with regulatory agencies when required.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams across different levels of the organization.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Power BI, and Access.
- Experience with CORPTAX is advantageous.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
- Background in the tax domain is beneficial.

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
