Overview
Job Summary
This position supports financial management activities by analyzing, reporting, and reconciling financial and operational results. The role involves identifying and researching variances against plans and providing recommendations to stakeholders. It also contributes to budgeting and forecasting while ensuring reporting compliance and supporting priority projects across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Extract financial data and analyze key financial drivers, using analytics to provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Conduct financial analysis for business units or functions, addressing financial issues and supporting business initiatives.
- Provide inputs for monthly expense and capital reviews during budgeting and forecasting cycles, and analyze variances using operational insights.
- Interpret financial reports such as forecasts, budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Develop an understanding of the organization's financial processes and gain knowledge of company operations.
- Assist with closing financial books, evaluating trends and variances, and preparing forecasts aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards, corporate policies, and the accuracy of internal and external reports.
- Apply foundational financial principles while supporting projects through research and data analysis, and provide updates on progress or issues.
- Assist priority projects under guidance and maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders using standardized reports.
Education and Experience
A four year degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience or demonstrated competence. Candidates typically have 0 to 2 years of experience in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
