Role Summary

We are seeking Data Science Interns for our Portfolio Valuation and Financial Advisory Services team, located in Mumbai and Gurgaon. This is a full-time internship of up to 12 months, designed to provide hands-on experience in financial data science and analytics within the context of global investment banking. Interns will collaborate with senior Data Scientists based in New York and London to build data products and solutions that address evolving financial market needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection: Gather and process structured data from multiple financial databases accessible to the firm.
• Excel Analysis: Perform advanced Excel-based data analysis using PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and complex formulas.
• Data Transformation: Use Python and tools like Dataiku to extract, transform, and manage data pipelines.
• Data Warehousing: Work with Snowflake for scalable cloud-based data storage and management.
• Visualization: Build charts, dashboards, and visual insights using Power BI or Tableau to communicate financial data trends effectively.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of processes, methodologies, and Excel-based workflows.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong academic background with a focus on quantitative subjects
• Prior internship experience in data analysis or data science is essential
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of SQL and Python
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Dataiku, Tableau, Power BI is desirable
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrated interest in data science and financial markets
• Ability to collaborate across global teams in a fast-paced environment
