Position Description

As part of the DevSecOps team within Sparta, you will collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and security specialists to integrate security practices throughout the Agile software development lifecycle. This is a hands-on technical position focused on building secure development pipelines, implementing policy as code, and assisting with vulnerability management across the company's SaaS product portfolio.

Requirements

• 0 to 3 years of experience in DevSecOps or application security. Internship or academic project experience is considered.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, including awareness of potential security misconfigurations.
• Exposure to container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker and related security considerations.
• Basic knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, common CVEs, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with static or dynamic analysis tools such as Snyk, SonarQube, Trivy, or Checkov is beneficial.
• Knowledge of secret management tools like HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
• Scripting capability using Python or Shell for automating security checks and remediation workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Ansible, with an understanding of integrating security gates within pipelines.
• Exposure to AWS cloud security concepts such as IAM least privilege, Security Groups, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty.
• Interest in pursuing security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CKS, or CompTIA Security+.
