Honeywell Hiring Software Engineer I (DevOps) - Bengaluru

Honeywell is seeking a fresher or entry-level DevOps engineer interested in working with CI/CD automation, cloud and infrastructure fundamentals, and improving developer productivity. The role suits candidates comfortable with Python scripting and familiar with GitHub and GitHub Actions for building automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Automate recurring operational tasks with Python scripts.
• Manage repositories, branching strategies, and release workflows using GitHub.
• Create and manage build, test, and deployment workflows for applications, beginning with non-production environments.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including runbooks, pipeline documentation, and deployment instructions.
• Support monitoring and logging configuration and assist with basic incident troubleshooting.
• Work with developers to improve build stability and deployment consistency.
• Follow security best practices such as secrets management, least privilege access, and scanning.

Qualifications

• Basic programming or scripting knowledge in Python.
• Hands-on familiarity with GitHub, including repositories, branches, pull requests, and code review basics.
• Exposure to GitHub Actions including workflows, jobs or steps, runners, secrets, and artifacts.
• Understanding of Linux fundamentals such as file systems, permissions, and basic commands.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts including build, test, and deployment stages.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a development environment.
