Job Summary

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team sits at the core of the finance organization. It provides senior management with accurate forecasts of the company's profit and loss (income statement) and operating performance for upcoming quarters and years. The role also supports management in communications with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze the company's historical financial performance and assess key assumptions and trends that may affect future results.
• Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing, treasury, and accounting teams to gather and synthesize relevant financial information.
• Link senior management's long-term strategic plan to actionable operating and financial plans, keeping the organization aligned.
• Develop, update, and manage the company's annual budget and/or rolling forecasts, adjusting as business conditions change.
• Conduct variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgets and forecasts, with clear explanations and actionable insights for management.
• Advise management on strategies to improve performance, reduce risks, and capture new opportunities, considering internal and external factors.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly reports (e.g., CFO or Senior Management books) covering:
• Analysis of historical financials
• Variance explanations
• Updated forecasts with identified risks and opportunities
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
