Job Summary
The Tools & Automation Engineer plays a key part in improving operational efficiency by building and maintaining automation tools. This role centers on asset management and ITIL processes, making sure every solution meets organizational standards for quality and cost. The engineer works with others to deliver high-quality code, supports existing projects, and responds to client requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation scripts that follow ITIL practices and incident management frameworks, so incidents are handled efficiently in ServiceNow and BMC Remedy.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation tools, resolving issues to keep them running smoothly and performing well.
- Work with clients to understand new feature requests, then design and develop enhancements in Avanti and CA Service Desk platforms.
- Document processes, code changes, and incidents clearly to support knowledge sharing and compliance with ITIL standards.
Skill Requirements
- Basic understanding of incident management principles and the ITIL framework.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, CA Service Desk, and Avanti tools.
- Fundamental knowledge of scripting languages used for automation tasks.
Other Requirements
- ITIL Foundation certification (optional, but valuable).
