Internship Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented IT Internal Audit Intern to join our Internal Audit team. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on exposure in IT auditing, cybersecurity, compliance, and internal controls within the fintech space.
Responsibilities
- Assist in executing IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT/IS reviews across core business applications, cloud infrastructure, and third-party systems
- Participate in risk assessments for fintech systems like payment gateways, mobile apps, APIs, and loan origination systems
- Evaluate and report on areas such as access controls, data security, change management, and vulnerability management
- Support audit documentation, including working papers, walkthroughs, and evidence logs
- Track audit observations and assist in remediation validation and stakeholder reporting
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, InfoSec, and Compliance teams to review technical controls
- Stay up to date with RBI guidelines, SEBI regulations, CERT-In advisories, and privacy laws such as DPDP Act
- Map IT controls to frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and SEBI-mandated guidelines applicable to fintech
Candidate Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
- Strong interest in IT auditing, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance
- Basic understanding of IT controls, information systems architecture, and security principles
- Familiar with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with an analytical mindset and a willingness to learn
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and fintech regulations from RBI, SEBI, etc.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST
- Experience with digital lending, wallets, KYC systems, or fintech APIs
