What you will be doing

Airbus FHS provides customized services to its Customers (mainly Airlines) ranging from FHS-Component up to a TSP (Tailored Support Program) with the objective to provide airlines with significant inventory management and repair cost savings whilst supporting the improvement of their maintenance and engineering activities to allow an increased aircraft reliability and availability.

FHS India and South Asia Regional organization is a 50 plus strong team of airline engineering and material management experts. We are committed to be the most trusted and customer centric Materials Hub by driving operational excellence, enhancing Airbus Reliability, promote global competitiveness and strengthening our global footprint through innovation and strategic partnerships whilst keeping our foundation at the center in All We Do.

You will become a member of the Flight Hour Services (FHS) team, and assist in oversight of all the operational management activities related to the FHS and TSP Component contracts, the monitoring of the delivery performance of all improvement action plans, definition of fixes and the monitoring of their implementation / effectiveness.

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of a FHS Customer Operations & Transversal Projects Manager and can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Measuring, analyzing and reporting both internally and to customer FHS Component operational performance for FHS-C and TSP Deals
  • Securing on time delivery of core units by customers
  • Managing the local interface with Customer(s) to secure their satisfaction
  • Ensuring adherence to contract service level (operational, quality & cost performance) through KPIs
  • Communicating progress of actions plans to resolve supply chain issues to the Customer
  • Acting as an entry point for the customer to follow the implementation of retrofit programs, liaising with the Retrofit Monitoring and Inventory team and escalating any issues
  • Defining and prioritizing improvement plans, addressing issues and managing escalations
  • Identifying opportunities through local operations for additional sales opportunities
  • Supplying all required operational data to the CPM to secure the overall commercial performance and development of the deal
  • Preparing operational inputs and participate to the regular Program Management Reviews (PRM) with Customer’s management organized and run by the CPM
  • For TSP deals, working with the Tech Records / Planning teams to ensure that component requirements are known.
  • Managing governance for transformation projects at leadership level, shaping and steering key strategy.

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent in Aviation Management - Specialization in Supply Chain or Operations is preferred
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Project Management or Aviation Logistics
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.

Other desirable requirements are:

  • Strong Project Management Foundation - Project Management Certifications
  • Knowledge of Aviation Logistics environment
  • Knowledge of OEM, Suppliers or MRO Operations.
  • Excellent team spirit.
  • Highly organised and structured
  • Capacity to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Airline Operations and/or Power by Hour Services related activities
  • Knowledge of Manufacturer Warranty, Supplier Warranty Management, Airline Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge on specific Maintenance Information systems (AMASIS, RAMCO, AMOS)
