Fund Accounting Analyst 1 at Citi, Gurgaon | Finance Role

The Fund Accounting Analyst is an entry-level role that supports a range of fund valuation activities in collaboration with the Operations, Transaction Services team. The primary goal is to assist with calculating daily and periodic Net Asset Values (NAVs) for funds and distributing related unit prices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational activities to ensure the timely and accurate completion of fund processes, including NAV calculations and distribution factors.
• Assist with reviewing stock and cash reconciliations as a checker, confirming that any exceptions identified do not affect NAV and that cleared items are handled correctly.
• Ensure corporate actions are accurately reflected in NAV calculations.
• Support the team in resolving complex operational issues when required.
• Investigate and respond to client queries promptly while maintaining a professional approach.
• Ensure all client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deadlines are met.
• Help gather and analyze operational and client-related management information.
• Assess risk during business decisions, safeguarding the firm's reputation and assets by adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while escalating and reporting control issues when necessary.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience is preferred.
• Background in accounting, finance, or a related business discipline.
• Experience in financial services or operations environments is beneficial.
• MBA graduates, CFA certification holders, or Chartered Accountants are preferred.
• Understanding of fund administration and fund services processes.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent university qualification.
