FRND is looking for a motivated and talented Backend Intern to join our in-office team in Bengaluru. As a Backend Intern, you will contribute to building and optimizing scalable APIs and backend services. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work closely with experienced engineers, develop real product features, and understand how to architect robust backend systems in a fast-growing startup.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with the backend engineering team to develop, test, and maintain APIs using Python and Django.
• Improve backend logic and database query performance for better scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend developers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Debug code, fix issues, and maintain high code quality with proper documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, peer code reviews, and product discussions to contribute effectively.

Internship Requirements

• Must be available to work from the FRND Bengaluru office for 3 to 6 months.
• Prior internship experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Solid understanding of Python and experience with Django or Django REST Framework.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable using Git and version control workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to a dynamic startup environment.
