About the Role

Fox Corporation is looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable Android Intern focused on Video Playback Engineering to join our FOX Tech team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work with industry professionals and learn how to build seamless video playback experiences for both live and on-demand content. You’ll gain hands-on experience with video players, streaming protocols, adaptive bitrate streaming, and core playback features.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivering the best Android video playback experience for live and VOD streams
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented Kotlin/Java code
• Collaborate on enhancements to SDKs, sample apps, and developer tools
• Identify and resolve performance, memory, and ANR issues across a wide range of Android devices
• Learn and grow in a collaborative, inclusive, fast-paced development environment

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science or a related field
• Hands-on coursework or project experience in Kotlin or Java
• Proficient coding skills and understanding of software engineering fundamentals
• Familiarity with modern Android tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, and Git
• Demonstrated interest in mobile or media app development (e.g., GitHub projects, Play Store apps, academic projects)
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
