Job Summary
To support teams that build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Junior Financial Analyst for Cost Accounting Solutions in Chennai.
What a typical day looks like
- Carry out the defined cost accounting activities
- Understand corporate policy and follow up on key cost accounting metrics
- Deliver time saving and cost reducing initiatives through pocket kaizens and process improvements
- Work with the operations team and track reasons for metric non-conformances through regular follow ups
- Post month end journal entries for accruals and reclasses in the ERP
- Prepare and maintain SOPs in line with the latest processes and document them in the DMS
- Learn the role and serve as a backup for the cost accountant
The experience we are looking for
- Basic knowledge of MS applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- A good team player with analytical skills
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills in day to day processes
- B.Com/BBA (Finance)/M.Com/MBA (Finance), with freshers or 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles, with the ability to understand and interpret accounting policies
