Overview
Join NatWest Group as a Financing & Risk Solutions Associate. In this role, you will work with business management to evaluate performance using measures such as customer satisfaction, revenue metrics, and capital efficiency. You will also support senior originators in building and maintaining relationships with the target client base.
This associate-level position offers the opportunity to develop domain knowledge across the business through training, self-development initiatives, and internal rotations.
What you'll do
You will assist in managing transactions effectively while ensuring all activities comply with the bank’s policies related to conduct, operational, credit, and regulatory risk.
The role also involves preparing analytical materials, pitch presentations, term sheets, post-transaction reviews, and related documentation to support origination efforts. You will contribute to client deep-dive analyses, collaborate with sales coverage teams, and gather feedback from internal client interactions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating pitch books and investor presentations, analysing market dynamics, identifying trends, generating trade ideas, and producing other marketing materials
- Preparing corporate finance advisory materials and financial models focused on the US technology sector
- Monitoring US and European markets and developing update slides covering investment grade, high yield, and leveraged loan markets
- Producing weekly market commentary for client circulation and maintaining internal databases such as transaction issuance records, investor order books, pricing analysis, and deal reviews
- Reviewing financial statements and building peer comparison tables, including spreads and yield analysis, to identify trade ideas and potential arbitrage opportunities
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should hold an MBA in Finance or a professional qualification such as CA, CFA, or FRM. Working knowledge of financial data platforms including Bloomberg, Intex, Reuters, FactSet, and Dealogic is expected, along with a strong understanding of financial statements such as profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
Experience with US markets, corporate finance, or equity research will be advantageous, as well as familiarity with different debt products and capital markets.
- Exposure to roles in cash management, fixed income, investment banking, or credit research analytics supporting debt businesses
- Understanding of investment banking and credit-related financial products
- Knowledge of ratio analysis, sector drivers, pitch book preparation, and basic financial modelling
- Ability to work with financial data and maintain internal market and transaction databases
