Job Summary
Medpace is expanding its corporate activities and is looking for a full-time, office-based Junior Software Engineer to join the Information Technology team. The role focuses on administrative systems and the modernization of legacy applications.
The team values attention to detail, ownership of processes, and interest in adopting new technologies. This position offers the chance to contribute to a growing team within a large global organization supporting advancements in medical treatments and therapeutics.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document user requirements.
- Design, modify, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Participate in software validation by developing, reviewing, or executing test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Build applications following the full software development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members on projects, development practices, tools, and procedures.
- Use development technologies such as object-oriented programming with C#, relational databases using SQL, and web applications with ASP.NET.
- Potentially lead software development initiatives as experience grows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- Familiarity with technologies such as C#, Angular, Webservices, GraphQL, Git, and relational databases is preferred.
- Experience with Entity Framework and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software release management.
- Exposure to modernizing systems toward cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities and effective written and spoken English communication.
