Eaton Hiring Associate Engineer Mechanical Design (Pune) | Freshers

What you'll do

As an Associate Engineer, you will work on product or technology groups with design, development, testing or sustaining engineering responsibilities. You will study and design, make changes to existing designs as needed, build product and technology knowledge, and assess systemic improvements and sustenance. You will plan your activities to meet project timelines and deliverables. Engineers in this role work on varied projects at Eaton India Innovation Centre.

• Perform engineering assignments, understand products and technologies, and handle testing and specification of projects.
• Use DFSS concepts, DFMEA, risk management and DVPR for new product development or existing product improvements.
• Build prototypes, run performance and durability testing, and tear down prototype samples to evaluate product performance against customer requirements, for concept ideas and detailed design before product launch.
• Create and sustain process standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data control for the business group.
• Develop an understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs.
• Maintain clear communication with external customers on technical clarifications, testing and resolving field failures.
• Learn quickly to understand and absorb varied technologies and product knowledge.

Skills

• Working knowledge of mechanical design principles.
• Innovative mechanical design skills, including frequent use of 2D and 3D CAD (Creo and/or SolidWorks) modeling, and GD&T.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and requirements.
• Good product design ability for both new products and product modifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to network and build relationships with other Eaton Aerospace and non-Aerospace resources.
• Ability to build productive working relationships with functions and organizations outside Engineering.
