About the Role
Dow offers a full-time Supply Chain Internship for the summer, giving students practical exposure within a global materials science organization. The internship focuses on understanding and improving supply chain operations through analysis, modeling, and cross-functional collaboration.
Interns will contribute to projects that evaluate supply chain performance, identify improvements, and support strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and model material and information flows across the supply chain at tactical or strategic levels.
- Analyze trade-offs related to inventory levels, logistics costs, conversion costs, asset utilization, productivity, and customer service.
- Design and optimize supply chain infrastructure and operational processes.
- Support strategy development involving technology implementation, capital investment, sourcing options, and postponement strategies.
- Identify best practices and recommend process improvements across systems, tools, and operational workflows.
- Assist in coordinating complex, cross-functional projects across multiple business areas.
- Develop innovative methodologies, solutions, and service approaches to address current and future business needs.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Engineering (Industrial, Operational, Mechanical, Packaging, Chemical, or related fields), or Business Administration with a relevant specialization in supply chain.
- Must have legal authorization to work in India without visa sponsorship or permanent residency support.
- Preferred exposure to supply chain planning, strategic analysis, process improvement, and data-driven decision making.
