Overview
NEC Corporation India is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic fresher to join its Cloud team as a DevOps Engineer. This role focuses on supporting containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift, assisting with CI/CD processes, and contributing to deployment automation in cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift for container orchestration.
- Perform Linux system administration tasks, including user management, file permissions, package installation, and service management.
- Troubleshoot application, container, and cluster-level issues.
- Monitor system logs using tools such as journalctl, top, ps, and netstat.
- Support CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance using Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Resolve deployment failures and environment-related issues.
- Work with YAML files for Kubernetes/OpenShift resource configuration.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to DevOps best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift platform.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of YAML files and OpenShift manifests.
- Basic networking knowledge including DNS, Load Balancer, and HTTP/HTTPS.
- RHCSA or Kubernetes certification (optional).
- Completion of online courses related to Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift is advantageous.
