About the programme
- This 12-month apprenticeship, under India's National Apprenticeship Training Scheme, provides valuable on-the-job training. Please note, there is no obligation for permanent employment with Deutsche Bank Group upon completion of the Apprenticeship Training tenure.
Role Description
- The Apprentice will work as a COO Analyst supporting the Corporate Bank India COO Office across strategy execution, financial and business performance management, governance, regulatory initiatives, management reporting, process transformation and executive stakeholder management.
- Exposure will include interaction with senior leaders across Coverage, Cash Management, Trade Finance & Lending, Securities Services, Operations, Risk, Finance and Infrastructure functions.
Your key responsibilities
Business Management & Strategy
- Support preparation of management presentations, business reviews, operating committee materials and governance packs.
- Assist in tracking execution of strategic initiatives across Corporate Bank India.
- Conduct market, competitor and industry analysis to support business planning exercises.
- Support annual planning, forecasting and performance tracking processes.
- Coordinate follow-up and execution tracking for key management decisions.
Financial & Performance Analytics
- Prepare business performance dashboards covering revenue, cost, productivity, client activity and profitability metrics.
- Analyse trends and identify drivers behind variances versus plan and prior periods.
- Support management reporting and executive presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Develop data-driven insights to support management decision making.
Regulatory & Governance Support
- Track regulatory commitments, audit observations and remediation programs.
- Assist in preparation of regulatory submissions, governance documentation and status reporting.
- Maintain action trackers and ensure timely follow-up with stakeholders.
- Support operational risk and control governance activities.
Process Improvement & Transformation
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation and productivity improvements.
- Support implementation of AI, analytics and workflow automation initiatives.
- Participate in special projects sponsored by the COO Office.
- Assist in development of management information and digital reporting solutions.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with business, operations, finance, risk, compliance, technology and infrastructure teams.
- Track action items from management meetings and governance forums.
- Drive timely follow-up and reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Support cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and business lines.
Your skills and experience
- B.Tech
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
