Overview
Desktop Support Specialist I
The Desktop Support I role helps deliver the Astreya user experience by supporting daily IT service activities. Responsibilities include tracking orders, managing accessories, deploying hardware to end users, maintaining conference rooms, and handling behind‑the‑scenes user setup. This position supports a global workforce of more than 70,000 employees and serves as an entry point into IT services.
Scope
- Follow established procedures while completing routine tasks.
- Work with detailed instructions to ensure consistent service delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory and asset management, conference room preventive maintenance, and e‑recycling activities.
- Support a fast‑paced environment focused on video conference rooms with strong attention to user satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain audio and visual quality, troubleshoot issues, and respond to requests from meeting participants.
- Help with deployment and recovery of laptop and desktop images.
- Provide customer support for global users, including IT accessories and workstation setup.
- Use ticketing systems to record completed work and track Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Work with inventory data management tools to maintain accurate stock levels and workflows.
- Assist with large scale global projects when required.

Work Environment
The role may involve handling equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and performing typical office tasks such as sitting, standing, and moving between locations within an office environment. Regular computer use and clear communication are required, and some tasks may involve repetitive hand or wrist movements.
